Grace Davis Paluck, 85, of Burgaw passed peacefully from her earthly home to her eternal rest on Friday, June 1, 2012 at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, Ga.

She was born September 18, 1926 in Mt. Olive, NC, and was the daughter of the late Cain Huie and Vivian Landen Davis. Also remembered are her sisters, Helen Murray and Mary E. Davis; and brothers, Reate Davis, Carl Davis and Mark Davis, all who preceded Grace in death.

Grace is survived by her daughters, Lana Caroline McDowell of Marietta, GA and Lisa Michelle Paluck of the home; grandsons, Ashley Brian McDowell of Destin, FL and Aaron Brett McDowell of Marietta, GA and brother, Thomas G. "T.G." Davis (Millie) of Burgaw.

Grace was a faithful member of Burgaw Presbyterian Church.

Grace was truly a lady full of grace with a wonderful Christian spirit who loved and cared for her family unceasingly. She loved to cook and share with family and friends. Grace was always joyful and appreciative of all kindnesses shown to her and Lisa. Her bright smile, witty sense of humor and especially her steadfast faith in the Lord are treasured.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at Quinn McGowen Funeral Home Burgaw Chapel with The Rev. Dr. Ray Mendenhall officiating. Burial will follow in Burgaw Cemetery. Casketbearers will be Neil Uttke, Louis Davis, Fred Gorsky, Andy Paluck, Wayne Cowan, Leamon Brown, Everett Durham and Jennings Humphrey.

The family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home until hour of the service.
