Grace Chambers Heath, age 77, of Wallace died Thursday, December 20, 2007 at her residence.
She was born April 17, 1930 in Duplin County and was the daughter of late Paul and Rossie Jones Chambers.
Mrs. Heath was manager of WLSE AM/FM Radio Station of Wallace for over 25 years and for 17 years employed with the Duplin County Tax Office. Being a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Wallace, she was a charter member of the SonShine Choir and the Morris Andrews Sunday School Class.
Surviving are her husband of fifty-nine years, Earl Heath of the home; her daughter, Gayle Sanderson and husband, Larry of Myrtle Beach, SC; grandson, Anthony Lawrence Sanderson of Durham; brother, Ralph Chambers and wife, O'Neal, their sons, Mike and Dennis Chambers of Rose Hill; Norwood Gainey, Jr., whom she loved like a son and his family of Goldsboro; caregiver, LaVern Blanton and special family friend, John Laurino of Wilmington.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church of Wallace with the Rev. Dr. Dennis Bazemore, the Rev. Phil Rivenbark and the Rev. Dr. Jim Baldwin officiating.
Entombment will follow in Devotional Gardens in Warsaw.
Casketbearers will be Jack Dean, Earl Schwirian, James F. Kelly, Dale Watkins, John Stallings and Willis Peterson.
Honorary Casketbearers will be the Morris Andrews Sunday School Class.
The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday at the Heath's residence.
