Obituary

Grady Bunny Miller, age 77, of Burgaw died unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at Pender Memorial Hospital.

He was born October 19, 1932 in Dillon County, South Carolina, the son of the late McIver and Judith Turner Miller. Also remembered are his brothers, Leo C. Miller, Floyd W. Miller, Fred H. Miller, Horace K. Miller, Lloyd Miller and Worth Miller.

Bunny is survived by his devoted daughter, Barbara Marie Miller of Burgaw; son, Richard McIver Miller of Benson; mother of their children, Lucille Richardson Miller of Benson; step-son, Roger Dale Williams and his wife, Cindy, of Benson; sisters, Leona Marie Melvin of Laurinburg and Myrtle Ann LaVere of Burgaw; brother, Billy E. Miller, Sr. of Wilmington; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Miller was employed for over 30 years with Timmie Corporation and was currently working at Wal-Mart SuperCenter.

Bunny loved his family dearly and was affectionately called Uncle Bunny by all of his many nieces and nephews. He was a fun loving man who enjoyed laughter and playing a practical joke. His interest were many and broad; a stock car fan, reading, an avid history buff, an excellent marksman and hunter, and a fabulous cook and baker. Bunny was just a joy to behold and be around. As you can see Bunny just enjoyed life and lived each day to the fullest. Cherished memories of Bunny will forever remain in our hearts.

A gathering of family and friends for a time of sharing, fellowship and food will be at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, April 10, 2010 at the home of Michael LaVere.
