Gregory Scott Cunningham, Sr., age 48, of Montague Community in Currie died Saturday, February 23, 2008 at Davis Healthcare Center.

He was born October 23, 1959 in Craighead County, Arkansas and was and was the son of Bobby "Bob" Lester Cunningham of Arizona and Patsy Eleanor Cunningham Martin of Rocky Mount.

Greg was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Linda Malpass Cunningham.

Greg had a great love for music, especially classical rock and some bluegrass music. He was a talented guitarist.

Greg was dearly loved by his family and will be greatly missed.

Surviving in addition to his parents are his daughter, Rachael Cunningham of Currie; son Gregory Scott Cunningham II of Currie; step-daughter, Billie Jo Tompkins and her husband, Ryan, of Currie; grandbabies, Jasmine Tompkins and Jeremy Tompkins; sister, Brenda Sanders of Cedar Park, TX and brother, Mike Cunningham of Kelly.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 26, at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Burgaw Chapel with the Rev. Kenneth Wells officiating.

The family will receive friends immediately following the memorial service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
