Gwendolyn Blanton
Taylor
Jan 9, 1940 — Jan 31, 2013
Gwendolyn Laurene Blanton Taylor, 73, of Rose Hill left this life for her eternal rest on Thursday, January 31, 2013 from Brian Center of Wallace.
She was born January 9, 1940 in New Hanover County and was the daughter of the late Lummie B. and Leola Costin Blanton.
She was a member of Rose Hill United Methodist Church.
Surviving is her husband of 24 years, William "Bill" Taylor; her brothers, David Earl Blanton and wife, Janice and Stephen Edward Blanton and wife, Mikki, all of Wilmington; special friends, Mary Lou Batchelor and Linda Sue Beecher and numerous relatives and friends that loved her dearly.
Gwendolyn was a loving wife, sister and friend. She found great joy in the simplest of things, but her greatest joy was helping others. She was a strong, yet gentle and loving presence to all who were blessed to know her. Always putting others before herself was Gwen's way of life. She will surely be missed but cherished memories of her will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved Gwen.
