Harold Gene Buckner, age 71, passed away Saturday, December 19, 2015, at Onslow Memorial Hospital, Jacksonville, N.C. He was a resident of Lighthouse Village, Jacksonville N.C.

Harold was born January 8, 1944, in New Hanover County, grew-up in Wallace, was the son of the late David W. Buckner, Jr., and Evelyn T.Buckner. He is also predeceased by sons, David G. Buckner and Mark E. Buckner, and step-mother, Miriam Buckner.

Surviving is his grandson, Brandon Buckner and wife, Jennifer of Jacksonville: great granddaughter, Hannah Buckner, sister, June and husband, Jimmy Robinson of Rose Hill, half-brother and sisters Clark, Priscilla, and Jacqueline of Burlington, special aunts and uncles, Donald and Ruth, Charles and Marcia Buckner of Rose Hill, Elizabeth Benton of Wallace, Annette and Clyde Hammond of Fayetteville, Susie and Eddie Gallant of Greensboro. Numerous nieces and nephews who were special.

Graveside service will be held at 2:00PM Monday, Dec. 21, 2015, at East Duplin Memorial Garden, Beulaville, N.C.
