On February 11, 2008 Everett Cavileer, Jr., beloved husband of Christine, left his earthly home unexpectedly.
Everett spent much of his life in service to his community.
He was a member of the 82nd Airborne Division in the US Army and a retired Captain in the US Army National Guard.
He was an accomplished instructor in firearms, scuba diving, and Kenpo Karate. He was currently employed as a police officer at Ellis Airport in Jacksonville.
He is also survived by his children, Kyle and wife, Natasha, of Louisiana, Jennifer and fiancee, Shane, of Burgaw, Charles of South Carolina and Trevor and wife, Ann, of Wilmington; stepson, Mark and fiancee, Kayla, of Hampstead; brother, Lewis and wife, Denise, of Rocky Point as well as ten grandchildren and his beloved companion, Boots.
Everett was the son of the late Harold Everett Cavileer, Sr. and Irma Lewis Cavileer.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 15, 2008 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Burgaw Chapel with Chaplain Terrence Collins officiating.
The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home.
