Harry Milton Corbett, Jr., 78, of Kelly passed from his earthly life to his heavenly home on Tuesday, June 11, 2013. He was born September 18, 1934 in Wilmington, the son of the late Harry Milton Corbett and Edith Moore Corbett Lewis.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Janice Kelly Corbett; sons, Phil Stanley Corbett and Randall Charles Corbett; grandchildren, Amanda Leigh Corbett, Forrest Sinclair Corbett and Stephanie Corbett; brother, Archie Ray Corbett (Janet) and Tony Corbett; sisters, Debbie Grifton and Veronica; and many nieces, nephews and extended family, all who dearly loved Harry.
Harry was retired from International Paper Company. He was a member of Centerville Baptist Church where he had served as a deacon and youth Sunday school teacher. In addition to his many contributions to his beloved church, Harry shared his God given musical talent as church pianist for over 30 years. In Harry's earthly life his Lord, his family and his church were always first and foremost. Harry delighted in his grandchildren as they brought Janice and Harry great joy. Harry leaves a legacy of faith, hope, sharing and love for all to remember. Well done thy good and faithful servant, enter into your eternal rest.
Funeral service will be at 12:00 noon on Friday, June 14, 2013 at Centerville Baptist Church with The Rev. Ryan Carter and the Rev. Jack Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
Casketbearers will be Dean Robinson, Ryan Thornton, Brent Corbett, Johnny Littleton, Mike Reher, and James Potter.
