Harry Lee Pickett, 71, of Wallace passed gently from his earthly life on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at Pendu Rest Home, his home of many years.

He was born July 22, 1945 in Pender County, the son of the late George and Mable Smith Pickett. Harry was preceded in death by his brother, Quincey Pickett who also lived at Pendu Rest Home prior to his death.

Harry is survived by his Pendu family and several extended family.

Harry loved his Pendu family, who made him feel special and loved. Harry enjoyed his special "jobs" at the rest home, one of which was going to the mail box and bringing in the mail each day. A favorite thing Harry loved were the worship and music services that are often held at the rest home. Harry was loved and had a blessed life.

Graveside funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at Pickett Family Cemetery, Little Kelly Road, Rocky Point, NC with The Rev. David Walker officiating.
