Harvey Daniel Deal, age 77, of Burgaw died Monday, November 26, 2007, at Huntington Health Care of Burgaw.

He was born April 5, 1930 in Pender County and was the son of the late Luther and Bebe Smith Deal.

Mr. Deal served his country honorably in the US Army Reserves. He attended Mt. Holly Baptist Church.

For many years Harvey worked diligently on several farms in the Burgaw area. He loved people especially children and always had a humorous story to tell. Harvey was loved and will be greatly missed.

Surviving are his sisters; Clara Deal Watkins of Burgaw and Lucy Deal Swarmer of New York, New York and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Monday, Dec., 3, at Mt. Holly Baptist Church with The Rev. Gerald Morton officiating.

In Lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be given to Mt. Holly Baptist Church, 5551 US Hwy 117, Burgaw, NC 28425.
