Hattie was a life-long member of Island Creek Baptist Church. She had a great love for her Lord, singing and fellowshipping with her church family.

Surviving are her daughters, Joyce C. Baldwin of Rome, Georgia and Jane McGowen and husband, Lloyd of Wilmington; her sons, Harry Bradshaw and wife, Felicia of Teachey and Joe Bradshaw and wife, Hilda of Chesterfield, Virginia; 10 grandchildren, Jill Ezzell and husband, Jerry Wayne, Ginger Henderson and husband, Jason, Joy Patterson, Ricky Patterson, Heather Pyles and husband, Randy, Angie Chicelli, Amela Sutton and husband, David, Lloyd McGowen, Jr., Kimberly Sikes and husband, Courtney and Daniel Bradshaw and wife, Rachel; many great grandchildren whom she loved dearly; her brother, Jimmy Register and wife, Bettye of Murphy, North Carolina and many extended family and friends that loved Hattie and were loved in return.

Hattie loved her family dearly and was very devoted to each one of them.   She was an avid homemaker and a gardener, always enjoying God's beautiful nature outside as she worked in her yard. Hattie was gifted in decorating and preparing meals for family and guest.  Her joyful spirit filled her home with love and welcomed all who entered. She was a woman of beauty and grace. She embraced every day starting with singing in the kitchen as her children were waking for breakfast, demonstrating, "This is the day the Lord hath made, I will rejoice and be glad in it." Hattie will surely be missed but treasured memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
