Hazel DeVane Costin Sanders, age 82 of Castle Hayne passed away September 2, 2014.

She was the devoted daughter of Zilphia B. and Hybert C. DeVane, loyal wife to Albert Costin and John Sanders who all preceded her in death. In addition to her parents and spouses she was preceded in death by a sister Lillian Miller and brothers Stewart, Hybert and James DeVane.

Hazel is survived by sisters Mary D. Hutchison of Wilmington and Julia D. Newton of Burgaw, many loving nephews and nieces, and a special God Daughter Cathey Greer and her daughter Casey Flowers both of Castle Hayne.

Hazel was a faithful member of Castle Hayne Advent Christian Church.

Graveside service will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 6, 2014 at Haw Bluff Baptist Church Cemetery in Kelly. The family will receive friends beginning at 12:30 following the service at Castle Hayne Advent Christian Church.

The family wishes to thank the staff of New Hanover House and Lower Cape Fear Hospice. God holds her now in his hands and all the pains and cares have been washed away.
