Hearold Deane Register, age 67, of Wallace died Monday, August 13, 2007 at his home.

He was born July 27, 1940 in Duplin County, the son of the late William Henry and Olivia Merritt Register. He was also predeceased by his grandson, Justin Hull.

Mr. Register was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Chinquapin. He served his country honorably in the US Navy.

Surviving are his wife of 46 ½ years, Ruth S. Register of the home; daughters, Elaine Miller and husband, Mike of Wallace and Betty R. Hull of the home; son, Wilburn Register of Bessemer City; grandsons, Jeremy Hull and Dylan James Hull; and brother, Ardell Register of Hampton, VA.

Funeral service will be at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Burgaw Chapel with the Rev. Samuel W. Swinson officiating.

The family will receive friends immediately following the funeral service on Wednesday at the funeral home until 8:00 p.m.

A graveside service and burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Hollingsworth Cemetery.
