Helen Lee Clark Frederick, 71, of Wilmington passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on May 13, 2016 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.


She was born July 23, 1944 in Rockford, Illinois the daughter of the late Wesley Walter Clark and Ona Lee Free. She is also preceded in death by her sister, Wanda Valentine.

Helen worked for many years in radio and newspaper advertising then later advanced her career into California real estate prior to her move to Wilmington, North Carolina. Helen enjoyed reading, music, travel, cooking and spending time in the company of her beloved family and friends.

Left to cherish her memory are her devoted husband, Stan Frederick whom she married April 21, 1979 in Pittsfield, MA; her son Craig Graham who resides in San Diego. CA; four granddaughters, Jessica, Ashely, Erin and Hailey; and numerous other loving family and friends.

A memorial service will be held 11 AM Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Quinn McGowen Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
