Helen Taylor Meadows, 85, beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend passed from her earthly life on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice Care Center in Wilmington, NC

She was born December 10, 1932, the daughter of Buren Bailey Taylor and Elizabeth Louise Futch Taylor.

In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Haywood Meadows; and daughter, Hattie Marie Meadows.

Helen is survived by her children, John Harvey Meadows, Harold H. Meadows, Hazel Shingleton, and Hester Best (Thomas); six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; sister, Barbara Jordan (Jerry); and many extended family and friends.

Helen, with her warm heart and sweet spirit loved her family. She was loved and will be missed.

A private burial was held October 6, 2018 at Blakes Chapel Advent Christian Church Cemetery conducted by Pastor Steve Spearing and Pastor Lottie Rogers.
