Hemenegilda Cebollero, age 77, of Wilmington passed away Friday, March 10, 2017 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice and LifeCareCenter.

She was born November 4, 1939 in Naguabo, Puerto Rico the daughter of the late Facudo Mendez and Petra Gonzales. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years of marriage; Rev. Luis Cebollero.

Hemenegilda was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend to all. She was a woman of great faith that loved the Lord and is now in His presence and has been reunited with her beloved husband.

Left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Luis Cebollero Jr. and wife Katherine and William Cebollero and wife Monica; two daughters, Noemi Franco and husband Pedro and Luzaura Cebollero-Najar and husband Manuel Najar; four grandchildren, Melissa Ann Cebollero, Luis Alexander Cebollero, Janessa M. Montijo and Abraham E. Najar; four great grandchildren, Venizia I. Suarez Cebollero, Jordan N. Madkins, Victor I. Cebollero and Xavier R. Cebollero; nine brothers and sisters; and numerous other loving family and friends.

A memorial service will be held 6PM, Monday, March 13, 2017. The family will receive friends on hour prior and following the service at the Quinn McGowen Wilmington Chapel.
