Henry Loewenthal, father and World War II veteran, passed away peacefully on October 18, 2012. He was 95.

A native of Brooklyn, New York, Henry held a variety of jobs, including selling life insurance and owning and operating a diaper laundry service. As a member of the Literacy Volunteers of America, he taught Spanish, French and English well into his 80's.

He is survived by his daughters Lynn Fielding and Beth Meagher, his son David and five grandchildren.
