Henry "Ray" Taylor Jr., age 57, passed away on Sunday, December 1st, 2024, at Novant Health Emergency Department in Scotts Hill.

He was born on March 2nd, 1967, in New Hanover County, to the late Henry Ray Taylor Sr. and the late Joyce Ann Myrick.

Ray was a hard-working, helpful, and loyal friend. He worked for many years in HVAC and later opened his own business as a cabinet contractor. He loved music and motorcycles, especially Harleys. Ray was an avid Ford fan and he won many awards for his 2003 GT Mustang as a member of the Cape Fear Mustang Club.

Ray is survived by his brother, Cameron Taylor; his girlfriend and best friend of 14 years, Stephanie Furr; his beloved dog, Thor. Ray is also survived by numerous other family and friends who loved him dearly. He will be missed by all who knew him.

A memorial visitation to honor Ray will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at Quinn McGowen Funeral Home in Wilmington.
