Herman Bob Piner, age 96, passed away on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at Vidant Duplin Hospital.

He was born on January 12, 1922 in Pender County and was the son of the late Carl and Etta Piner.

Mr. Piner proudly served his country in US Navy.

Surviving is his sweet wife, Delphine Gurganious Piner; daughter, Elizabeth Grimmer Kelly and husband, Arnold of Magnolia; grandson, Kirk Grimmer; brother, Paul Piner and wife, Shirley of Wilmington and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
