Homer Donnie Watson, age 63, of Murrayville Community, Wilmington passed gently from his earthly life at his home on Saturday, August 11, 2012.

He was born December 17, 1948 in Sampson County, the son of the late Homer Wilson Watson and Lois Jones Watson Anderson. He was predeceased by his sister, Jewel Watson Johnson.

Surviving are his sisters, Hilda Hollis and Daphne Spivey (William "Andy") all of Atkinson and Hazel Crane (Charles) of Winchester, KY and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be 10:00 am Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Burgaw Chapel with the Reverend Don Yerby officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.

Inurnment will be at Hollis Anderson Cemetery.
