Ina Ruth Foley Jones

Ina Ruth Jones, age 86 of 56 Bay Tree Drive, Harrells, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 31, 2026, at UNC-Rex surrounded by her immediate family.

Born September 21, 1939, in Robeson County, to Rembert Lee and Tolla Cox Foley.

Ina Ruth is survived by daughter, Lisa Jones Johnson and husband, Bill Johnson of Harrells, North Carolina, and two grandchildren John-Daniel and Danielle Johnson; son Daniel William Jones Jr. of Warsaw North Carolina and granddaughter, Haley Jones. She is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Daniel William Jones Sr. She is also preceded in death by her sisters, Janet Williams and Blondell Norris, and brother Ronald Foley.

Ina Ruth was a walking testimony, a God-fearing woman, and had a heart of genuine goodness. She fought until the end, and her resilience was undeniable. She was Nana to so many people. Ina Ruth worked alongside her daughter, Lisa, for 25 years at State Farm Insurance in Wallace. There was nothing she loved more than helping her customers. She led a life with immense faith, and inspiringly so. She was a member at First Baptist Church of Clinton.

Visitation will be Friday, Sept 4th at First Baptist Church at 408 College St, in Clinton NC at 1 PM. 

Celebration of life will be held following the visitation at 2 PM at the church.

Entombment will be held at Riverview Memorial Park Mausoleum in Watha, North Carolina.
