Isabela “Isa” Carmen Eslinger, daughter of Owen J. and Yolanda de Carmen Mendoza Eslinger lost her battle with leukemia on September 7, 2026 at Children’s National Hospital.

She is survived by her brothers, Owen J., II, José Augusto and Juan Manuel Eslinger. Her grandmothers, Maria Mayorga Mendoza and Diane Hime; grandfather, Mark O. Eslinger (Linda); several aunts, uncles, and numerous cousins. She was predeceased by her sister, Abigail “Abby” Jayde Eslinger and her beloved grandfather, José Augusto Mendoza.

She had finished sixth grade through online classes and was getting ready to begin work with the seventh-grade class requirements. Isa enjoyed math, intriguing wooden puzzles, a variety of crafts, crocheting, playing volleyball, field hockey, swimming and watching her big brothers play volleyball, swim and their sports of choice.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, October 3, 2026 at Trinity United Methodist Church, McLean, VA . The service will be conducted by the Rev. Dr. William T. Chaney, Jr.
