Ivan F. Bouchard, age 64, of Wilmington passed away Friday, February 17, 2017 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

He was born in Ontario, Canada the son of the late Gerard Bouchard and Luci Croughs Bouchard. He is preceded in death by his son-in-law, Kendall House and faithful canine companion, Gator.

Ivan enjoyed sitting at the inlet and drinking his morning coffee as he watched the boats roll in. He could often be found on the water or on a boat flounder gigging with his constant companion Gator. He worked for three years at St. Mark Catholic School and as an upholsterer for vehicles and in other commercial facets.

Left to cherish his memory are his devoted wife of 16 years, Darlene F. Ely; daughters, Tanya House and Melissa Farmer and husband David; grandchildren, Emma House, Nathan Ely, and Brian Graham; brothers, John Bouchard, Gerald Bouchard (Loretta), Denis Bouchard (Arlene), Andrew Bouchard (Derek) and Mark Michael Bouchard; sisters, Monique Payne (Donald) and Lucie Bouchard; and numerous other loving family and friends.

A service will be held at 12 PM Monday, February 20, 2017 at Quinn McGowen Wilmington Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
