Jacqueline Jessup "Jackie" Jones, age 85, a resident of The Sterling House in Niceville, Florida, went home to be with her Lord on April 26, 2012.

She was born November 19, 1926, in Cleaton, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Charlie Lasly Jessup and Clem Moore Jessup. She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Jones; and by her sisters, Virginia Mae Jessup and Mary Hester Hill. Survivors include her brothers-in-law, Charles Jones and wife, Rachel of Niceville, Florida, Clayton Jones and wife, Mary Virginia of Willard, North Carolina; sister-in-law, Edna Jones of Middleburg, Kentucky, and several nieces and nephews.

Upon graduation in 1944 from East Bank High School in East Bank, West Virginia, Jackie was employed by the FBI in Washington, DC. She and Daniel Jones were married May 8, 1948, in Washington, DC, and relocated to Orlando, Florida in 1957. They were active in the College Park Baptist Church for more than fifty years and upon retirement, made several mission trips with the senior adults including one trip to China.

In early 2008, following the death of her husband and because of health issues, Jackie relocated to Niceville, Florida, as a resident of The Sterling House, an assisted living facility in Bluewater Bay.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Niceville, Florida, and was always appreciative of the visits by its caring members.

Funeral service will be held at 5:00pm on Sunday, April 29, 2012 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home, Wallace Chapel with the Reverend David Knowles officiating.

The family will receive friends immediately following the funeral service on Sunday, April 29, 2012 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home in Wallace.

Graveside service will be at 3:00pm Monday April 30, 2012 at Riverview Memorial Park in Watha.

Honorary pallbearers will nieces and nephews of Jackie Jones.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial gifts be sent to First Baptist Church of Niceville, 622 Bayshore Drive, Niceville, FL 32578.
