Obituary

James Everette Brinager, age 72, of Teachey, NC passed from his earthly life to his eternal rest on Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville, NC.

Born December 14, 1937 in Mingo County, West Virginia, James was the son of the late George and Betty Maynard Brinager. Also remembered are his brothers, H. P. Maynard, Dave Brinager and Eddie Brinager and sister, Ludie York.

James loved his country and served it honorably in the US Army.

Surviving are his wife of forty-five years, Nina Ruth Collins Brinager; son, Anthony Wayne Michael of Teachey; daughter, Annette "Toni" Bain and husband, Tommy of Currie, NC; grandchildren, James Paul Gelbhaar, Justin Andrew Gelbhaar, Ginger Ann Bain, Jessica Bain and Jordan Bain; two great granddaughters; brothers, Dale, Gene, Lonnie and Cecil and sisters, Betty Lee, Pauline, Phyllis, Teresa and Tina.

James was a devoted husband and caring father, grandfather and brother. He was a simple man who took great pride in helping others without expecting anything in return. With his quiet manner, gentle spirit and love for his family, James' memory will always be cherished and remembered.

Funeral service and burial will be in Naugatuck, West Virginia under the direction of Hatfield Funeral Home, 144 Toler Road, Toler, KY 41514.
