James "Jim" Franklin Northcott, 65, of Willard passed from his earthly life Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at his home.

He was born November 17, 1953 in Whiteville, the son of Joseph Northcott and the late Shirley English Northcott. Also remembered are his siblings, Randall James Northcott and Theresa Lynne Northcott, both who preceded Jim in death.

In addition to his father, Jim is survived by his wife, Patricia Casteen Northcott; children, James "Jamie" Franklin Northcott, Jr. (Samantha), Christopher "Chris" Northcott (Jenn Vanderminden), Teresa Northcott (Braxton Barnes), and Randall James Pruitt (Brianne); eight grandchildren; one grandson due in October; brother, Don Jay Northcott (Nancy); and many extended family and friends.

Jim served his country honorably in the US Navy.

He was an avid Panthers fan and also enjoyed watching most all sports. Fishing in God's great outdoors was a favorite pastime of Jim's. He also enjoyed NASCAR, Western movies, and NCIS. Most of all Jim loved his family. His presence on this earth will surely be missed.

The family will receive friends 5 to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at the residence of Patricia Northcott.

A memorial service in honor and memory of Jim will be 4:00 p.m., Sunday, June 30, 2019 at Moores Creek Baptist Church with Pastor Roger Barnes conducting the service.
