James "Jim" Holten Sholders, Jr., 70, of Burgaw and formerly of Clarksboro, New Jersey passed from his earthly life to his eternal rest on Monday, May 7, 2012 at Pender Memorial Hospital.

He was born November 16, 1941 in Swedesboro, New Jersey and was the son of the late James Holten Sholders and Ethel Mae Osborne Sholders. Also remembered is his son, Brett Sholders who preceded Jim in death.

Jim is survived by his loving family; his wife, Pam Sholders; son, Jeffrey Sholders and wife, Tracy of Wilmington; grandchildren, Joseph Sholders, Alexis Sholders, and Jacob Sholders; one great granddaughter; sister, Donna Gibilisco and husband, Jay of Florence, New Jersey; brother, Billy Sholders and wife, Lynn of Clarksboro, New Jersey; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and many friends.

A watchmaker by profession, Jim had customers from Wilmington to Raleigh that depended on his expertise to keep their watches running in perfect condition. Many will remember his permanent booth at the Raleigh Fairgrounds Flea Market.

Jim loved life; lived it to the fullest with joy, love, caring and laughter that he so willingly shared with his beloved family and friends. His family, first and foremost was the sunshine in his life. Beneath his tough exterior lived a big heart of gold. He loved not only his work, but NASCAR, car shows, and anything to do with Ford automobiles. Jim's family is grateful to God for his life and for the many ways his life has enriched the lives of so many.

A celebration of Jim's life will be held at a later date.
