He was born December 8, 1948 in Carteret County, the son of the late James Edward and Mary Bradley Northcott Sutton. Also remembered is his grandson, Joshua Horrell who preceded Brad in death.

Brad was a faithful member of Chapel by the Bay. He was retired from DuPont Company and DAK Americas.
Brad had a great love for his family and was a wonderful husband, dad, granddad, brother and friend. On sunny days Brad truly enjoyed nothing better than going ocean fishing in his much loved boat. Being a good neighbor and friend, Brad was always willing to lend a helping hand. How he loved gatherings of family and friends where he exhibited his expertise in cooking on the grill, especially roasting a pig. Brad had a kind heart, million dollar smile, great sense of humor and most of all a steadfast faith in the Lord. Brad leaves a legacy of Christian faith, love, laughter and kindness.
