Jane Cockman Rich left this life for her eternal rest on Monday, May 24, 2021, at her daughter's home in Carolina Beach.

She was born on January 18, 1937 in Pender County, the daughter of the late Carlos Wesley Cockman and Ruby Cockman.  She was also preceded in death by her sister, Ann Fogleman.

Mrs. Rich is survived by her husband of 66 years, Wayne Rich; one daughter, Tracy Stout and husband, Tom; sister, Linda Page; and granddaughter, Jordan Teachey.

Mrs. Rich graduated from Atkinson High School. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Wallace. She retired from Duplin County Board of Education.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at Garland Cemetery, officiated by Reverend Russ Evans.
