Jane Frances Robson, age 69, of Wilmington, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at home on July 6, 2026, with her husband, following a long battle with illness. She was born on August 26, 1956, in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late Oliver Ulric and Sarah D Woodard.

Jane graduated high school at 16 years old, moved to the San Francisco Bay Area and was accepted to attend UC Berkeley once her residency was established. While a student, Jane accepted Christ as her Savior while attending a Mario Murillo crusade on campus and stayed in the area after graduating in Women’s Studies. Inspired by a friend who suggested she pursue law, she returned to Louisiana to attend the Loyola University New Orleans College of Law and received her Juris Doctor degree in 1991.

She dedicated her career as an attorney to service and founded Project S.A.V.E. an impactful ministry and core community outreach initiative of the Associated Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of New Orleans which provides legal representation to survivors of domestic violence residing in Orleans Parish. Jane focused her support on indigent and battered women and men representing clients in court over a thousand times.

Outside of work, Jane was a profound studier of the Word and a generous giver. She enjoyed exercising and spending time with her family and friends. Jane was a reader, starting each morning with the Bible, followed by multiple newspapers, Law review, and books. She was a lifelong listener of National Public Radio (NPR). She was active in Bible Study Fellowship groups, attended various Kenneth Copeland Ministries events, and continued watching online, following Life Church of Wilmington, Port City Community Church, and The Rock Church CA.

Throughout Jane’s life, she was loved by so many lifelong friends, wonderful family members, and community. Know that she loved you all too!

Jane is survived by her husband, Ridgely; their children, Isaac Robson (Paris, France) and Winston Robson (New York, NY); Ridgely’s children, Dayna Zallo and husband Dave and mother of 2 (Tampa, FL), and Shyla Kessling and husband of Zack (Poncha Springs, CO); and siblings: Tim Woodard and wife Laurie (Mandeville, LA); Stephen Woodard and wife Nancy (Folsom, LA); David Woodard and wife Terry (Metairie, LA); Nancy Werner (Metairie, LA); and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held on July 14, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Life Church officiated by Pastor Tim Blevins. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you support your local church or a Bible Study Fellowship program in memory of Jane Robson.
