Janice Kelly Rose, age 49, of Rocky Point peacefully joined her Heavenly Father after a courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

She was born January 16, 1968 in Wilmington, North Carolina the daughter of Margaret Yopp Kelly and the late Thomas Nelson Kelly. She is also preceded in death by her brother, David Kelly.

Janice was a devoted and loving mother to her two sons, she was always at their sports games cheering them on and cherished the time she spent with them. She enjoyed spending time with "The Girls" which were her close and dearest friends, shopping with her sister Lisa, and working in her yard.

Janice was a member of New Direction Community Church. She graduated from Miller Motte College and Mount Olive College in North Carolina with a degree in Accounting followed by a career with PPD and later, Chiltern.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 23 years, David Rose; two sons, Parker Rose and Phillip Rose; mother, Margaret Kelly and husband John Horne; sister, Lisa Sutton and husband Jeff; brother, Michael Kelly; nephews, Ashton and Josh Sutton; and numerous other loving family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 7PM until 9PM on Friday, March 10, 2017 at Quinn McGowen Wilmington Chapel.

A funeral service will be held 1 PM Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Quinn McGowen Wilmington Chapel with Pastor Jeff Sutton officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.

The family would like to thank her church family, neighbors and friends for their visits and prayers, her doctors and medical staff for their excellent care during her illness, and all those who have extended a helping hand during this time.
