J B Ramsey, 83, of Burgaw passed gently from his earthly life Sunday, April 5, 2020 at NorthChase Health and Rehabilitation.

He was born November 26, 1936 in Pender County, the son of the late Bruce and Blanch Pierce Ramsey. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elwood Richardson Ramsey.

J B is survived by his daughter, Debbie Anderson (Robert); grandchildren, Paul Rivenbark (Elizabeth) and Brandi Anderson; great grandchildren, Samuel Rivenbark, Xena Rivenbark and Waylen Clark; brother, Robert Ramsey; and many extended family and friends.

J B loved his family, especially his great grandchildren who brought him much joy and happy times. In younger years, J B enjoyed hunting and fishing in God wonderful world of nature. Loving to travel, J B spent many enjoyable times traveling to Florida and the mountains, his two favorite places to go. J B was loved and will be greatly missed.

A graveside service will be held at Ramsey Cemetery with date and time to be announced.
