James D. Hollis, "JD", 67 of Wilmington passed away January 11, 2016.
He was preceded in death by his parents Annie Francis Watson and Thurman Watson.
JD is survived by his brother Davie Watson, aunt Louise Freeman, two nephews William David and Kristopher Thomas Watson and several cousins.
JD was a Vietnam veteran of the Air Force and was awarded The Distinguished Flying Cross for extraordinary achievement on an August 13th 1971 aerial flight. He was a member of American Legion Post #10, and retired from Wilsonart of Asheville, NC.
Graveside service will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 16, 2016 at Padgett Cemetery, 310 Padgett Road in Haws Run, NC.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to American Legion Post #10, P. O. Box 3094, 702 Pine Grove Drive Wilmington, NC 28406
