Jean Harrison Jones, age 81, of Wilmington, NC passed away on October 13, 2023 at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare in Wilmington, NC.

She was born on May 31, 1942 in Wilmington, NC to the late Charles Harrison and Martha Pugh Harrison.

Jean loved the Lord Jesus Christ. She also loved gardening and birds. Jean was a caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a bright light to many and will be dearly missed.

Jean is survived by her daughter, Teresa Smith (James); sons, Hal Willard Jones, III (Cindy) and Raynard Jones (Betty); sister, Geri Edgerly; eight grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Hal Willard Jones, Jr.; sister, Joyce LaMonica; and brother Charles Harrison.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Jean's honor may be made to White Oak Hill Free Will Baptist Church at www.whiteoakhillchurch.com.

A memorial service will be held at Quinn McGowen Funeral Home in Wilmington on Sunday, October 15, 2023 at 4pm with Reverend Hal Willard Jones, III officiating.
