Jeanette Elsie Henderson, 76, passed peacefully on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at her home.

She was born December 20, 1938 in Wilmington, the daughter of the late James Elery and Emma Rackley Roberts. Also remembered are her sons, Charles Graham Blanchard and Michael Blanchard, both who preceded Jeanette in death.

Jeanette is survived by her husband, Charles E. Henderson, Jr.; children, Sheryl Morehead, Charles Blanchard, Judy Lynn Miller and Larry Blanchard; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and one sister, Joy Roberts King.

Jeanette loved her family and was a loving wife. Being a wonderful cook, she was a collector of cookbooks and frequently tried out new recipes. She always had fun shopping especially when she could find a bargain. She loved her stuffed animals, collecting dolls and watching Disney movies. Jeanette was brought up in the Holiness church and maintained her Christian faith through a lengthy illness. Cherished memories of Jeanette will forever remain in our hearts.

Funeral service will be 5:00 p.m. Monday, June 8, 2015 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Burgaw Chapel with The Reverend Dean Walker officiating. A time of sharing will follow the funeral service.
