Jeffrey Wayne Rich, 59, of Wallace left this life for his eternal rest on Sunday, October 18, 2020 from his residence.

He was born on November 11, 1960 in Duplin County and was one of eight children born to the late James Albert Rich and Carolen James Rich Cavenaugh.

Surviving is his wife, Rachel Potter Rich; son, Justin Wayne Rich of Riegelwood; grandson, Bryson Rich; brothers, Travis Albert Rich and wife, Lou Ann of Richlands, James Allen Rich of Harrells, Ricky Ray Rich and sife, Tenna and Robert Lester Rich, all of Willard; sisters, Deborah R. Newmon and husband, Ernest, Wanda Wells and husband, Terry, of Willard and Lisa Penny and husband, Ted of Richalnds; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends that loved Jeffrey Wayne dearly.

Jeffrey was a simple man who was loved by all who knew him.  He was caring, generous and giving to those he knew. He was somewhat large in stature but gentle in nature and alwasy willing to lend a helping hand.  To Jeffrey, no one was a stranger.  When his health permitted, Jeffrey was a hard worker and would always get the job done.  He loved to cook and playing the guitar.  He enjoyed the outdoors which included hunting and fishing and doing taxadermy. Jeffrey Wayne was known as "friend" to many.   He will surely be missed but treasured memories will forever live in the hearts of those who knew Jeffrey Wayne Rich.

Graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Riverview Memorial Park, Watha.

Due to Covid-19, mask will be required and social distancing will be practiced.
