Jennifer Marie Fitzpatrick, 46, of Wilmington, passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at Novant Medical Center in Wilmington.

She was born on January 19, 1979, in Smithtown, NY, 5 weeks premature with a severe seizure disorder and it was a miracle that she lived.

Jennifer won the Presidential Academic Fitness Award 2 years during her middle school years and was a very talented flutist in high school.  She was employed for 9 years at the Rescue Mission of Cape Fear worked her way up to Executive Director.  She was currently employed with Tidewater Heating & Air.  Jennifer also survived breast cancer.

Jennifer is survived by her mother, Coleen Sutherland and stepfather Bill; her daughter, Marayah Elizabeth Gould; her brother, Vincent Lawrence Reilly; her sisters, Katherine Reilly and Brianna Michelle Canty; her father in-law, Douglas Fitzpatrick; her nephews, Ian Nicholas Reilly, Noah Elliot Reilly, and Bryan Gatlin Ross; and her beloved schnauzer mix, Grettie.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Brian Fitzpatrick; and her grandparents, Lawrence Herbert Hahn and Theresa Patricia(Keon) Hahn.

Jennifer was an Honorbridge organ donor, continuing to help others even after her passing.

There will be a memorial gathering on Sunday March 16, 2025 from 6:00pm – 8:00pm at Quinn McGowen Funeral Home at 315 Willow Woods Dr Wilmington, NC.
