Jerry Olin Pope, Jr., of Willard,  passed away on Monday, April 1, 2024, at the age of 46. Jerry was born on January 9, 1978 in Wilmington, the son of Jerry Olin Pope, Sr. and Joyce Lewis Pope.

Jerry touched the lives of many with his kindness, generosity and unwavering dedication to his family.

Jerry was a dedicated heavy equipment operator, a cherished friend and a loving family man. He found solace in the great outdoors, where his passion for fishing and hunting flourished.

In addition to his parents, Jerry is survived by his children; Emily Holland, Chasity Finchum, Carleigh Pope, and Celcie Pope, grandson, Lyric James Carter and his sister Sabrina Pope Lancaster.

Jerry is preceded in death by his son, Jerry Pope III and his step-mother, Nadine Davis.

His legacy of compassion and integrity will continue to inspire all who knew him, Jerry will be deeply missed but forever cherished in our hearts.

A memorial service will be held at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Burgaw on Saturday April 20, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. followed by a visitation.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to, JDFR to fight against Type 1 Diabetes in juveniles.
