Jerry Wayne Zurcher, 72, of Turkey, NC, passed peacefully from his earthly life Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at the home of his brother with caring family at his bedside.

He was born in Hemingway, SC, the son of Leman and Carlean Little Zurcher. In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his only sister, Barbara White.

Wayne is survived by his brothers, Spencer Zurcher, Dale Zurcher, and Shelton Zurcher and his wife, Rosie; brother-in-law, Tommy White; many nieces and nephews; great nieces and great nephews; and numerous friends, all who loved Wayne dearly.

He served his country proudly in the US Air Force.

Wayne had two green thumbs as he could bring plants back to life and make anything grow. His yard was always immaculate, his clothes pressed, and his home neat as a pin. Most of all Wayne loved his family and they loved him.

A memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 2, 2022 at Quinn McGowen Funeral Home Burgaw Chapel with Mr. Steve Crews conducting the service.

Following the memorial service, the family will receive friends at the funeral home.
