Jesse Ray Delk, age 72, of Teachey passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at North Chase Nursing and Rehab in Wilmington.

He was born on October 4, 1953, in Wayne County and was the son of the late Dave Delk and the late Rachel Lane Preston.

Surviving is his daughter Misty Delk Hall and husband Tommy of Kinston; granddaughter Lacey Hall Floyd and husband Landon; brothers Charles Register and wife Linda of Teachey and Dave Delk and wife Kay of Ivanhoe; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends that loved Jesse dearly.

Jesse was a simple man who enjoyed the simplest things in life.  He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed drag racing, going to car shows and fishing.  Jesse loved people and was loved in return.  He will surely be missed.
