Jesse Watkins, Jr, 53 of Wilmington passed away Monday, May 20, 2013 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

Jesse was born January 14, 1960 in New Hanover County to the late Jesse Watkins, Sr. and Catherine Wilson Watkins.

He is survived by his wife, Terri Watkins of the home; son Joshua Watkins and wife Jessica; daughter Heather Watkins; granddaughter Aubree Watkins; sisters Juanita Causey (Joey), Brenda Adams (Jay), Diane Hughes (Donnie); and nieces and nephews.

Jesse loved NASCAR and baseball. He worked 20 years as a bus driver for the City of Wilmington. He was loved dearly by his family and will be greatly missed.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 PM, Thursday, May 23, 2013 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home, Bradley Creek Chapel. The funeral will begin at 7:00 PM. Private family burial.
