Jessica Lynn Carr, 26, of Willard passed from her earthly life on July 14, 2013. She was born June 28, 1987 in Wilmington, the beloved daughter of Thomas B. Carr, Jr. and Lynn Hicks Carr.

In addition to her parents Jessica is survived by her children, Jaley Carr and Kaden Powell; sister, Stacey Carr; grandmother, Dorcas Hicks; many extended family and friends who all loved Jessica.

Jessica loved her family, especially her precious children. Jaley and Kaden loved fishing and going to the beach with their mom and they all enjoyed family gatherings. Jessica had a kind heart, gentle spirit and a quiet faith in Jesus Christ.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Burgaw Chapel with The Rev. Dean Walker officiating. Burial will follow in Potts Memorial Church Cemetery. Casketbearers will be Gordon Howard, Billy Giddens, Marty Baranowski, Joshua Wood, Chris Jones and Mason Teachey The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the funeral service.

Jessica's family is grateful to God for her life and for all prayers, acts of kindness and goodness bestowed upon them during their time of grief and sadness.
