Joanne Taylor Shorette, age 74, of Willard, left this earthly life for her eternal rest on Weddnesday, January 26, 2022 from New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

She was born on March 6, 1947  in Potsdam, New York and was the daughter of the late Maurice and Joan White Taylor.  Joanne was also predeceased by her loving son, Kyle Shorette on June 5, 2021.

Surviving is her best friend and devoted husband of 56 years, Ernest "Ernie" Shorette;  her children, Kelley and Christopher; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; siblings, Paul, Linda and Nancy; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends that loved Joanne dearly.

Joanne was a loving wife and caring mother who loved her family with all her heart.  She enjoyed the simple things in life but her greatest joy was her husband and her children.  Joanne had a big heart and loved everyone.  She was a friend to all, a strong yet gentle presence who looked for and encouraged the best in everyone. Joanne will surely be missed but treasured memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
