Joe Kosh, Sr. age 90 passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. Joe was born on January 9, 1933 in Wilmington, and is the son of the late Paul and Mary Kosh.

Joe learned about farming at an early age and developed a passion for it as he got older.  He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching NASCAR. Loving all of his family was very important to him; grandchildren were extra special. Joe will always be remembered as a man who loved his family, friends and community.

Joe is survived by his two daughters, Faith Kosh and Anita Ogle; one son, Joe Kosh, Jr. and his wife, Brenda; two brothers, Frank and Jimmy Kosh; one sister, Betty Hale; grandchildren, Megan Hicks, Jason Yates, Robbie Yates, Crystal Price, and Shannon Hansley; great-grandchildren, Erin and Abbey Hicks, Breanna, Nyla, and Aaliyah Hansley; and due to arrive in September Brinley Yates.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Joe will be held on Monday, June 26, 2023 at 7:00PM in the Quinn-McGowen Burgaw Chapel, with the Rev. Josh Riley officiating. The family of Mr. Kosh will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service.
