Joel Douglas Pridgen,  age 46, of Willard left this earthly life way too soon on Sunday, May 30, 2021 from his residence.

He was born on August 13, 1974 in Wellsville, New York; the son of Joseph and Agnes Pridgen of Willard.

Surviving, in addition to his parents, is his brother, Jimmy Jones of Ashville, NC; sisters, Gail Leddon and husband, Josh of Alabama and Frances Sutton of Burgaw; special nephew, Zachary Buchanan and special nieces, Emmas Buchanan and Cynthia Cowan.

Joel was loved by so many even though he was quiet and stayed to himself most of the time.  When his health permitted, he enjoyed working on heaters and air conditioners.  He enjoyed being outside on beautiful days, hanging with his animalls, such as dogs and chickens.  Joel loved his nieces and nephew.  They were very special to him; the apples of his eyes.  Joel loved everyone and was loved in return.  He will surely be missed but treasured memories will forever live in the hearts of those who knew and loved Joel.

There will be a memorial service at 2:00pm on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at Lighthouse Church in Rocky Point with Reverend Sammy Shephard officiating,.
