Obituary

John Tanner Cleveland, 55, of Burgaw passed gently from his earthly life to his eternal rest on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

He was born December 16, 1957 in Chemung, New York, the son of the late James Cleveland and Elaine Alice Underwood Cleveland Golden. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Carol Cleveland.

John is survived by two daughters; several grandchildren; his sister, Amy Derenzo; brother, James Cleveland; aunt, Mary Lou Parker; and good friend, Terry Spencer (Sherry). John's dog, Pooter Pie also mourns for John.

John was a member of Calvery Chapel Church. John was an excellent mechanic and was proficient working on car motors, lawn mowers and anything mechanical.

John's cremated remains will be buried in Maple Grove Cemetery in Horseheads, New York.

John's family would like to thank Terry Spencer and the members of Calvary Chapel for their kindness, Christian love and generosity to John.
