John Daniel Dawson, 49, of Leland passed from his earthly life on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice and LifeCare Center.

He was born July 18, 1967 in Fairfax, VA, the son of the late Donald Lee Dawson and Nanna Lou Wilson Dawson Wilmoth.

He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Richard Thomas "Tom" and Zeronda Dawson; and dear friends, Lynn Davis and Linda Bryan.

John was a member of Trinity Worship Center.

John loved his family and considered his two canine companions, Muffy and Duffy as part of his family. He loved all of God's beautiful nature and especially enjoyed fishing. Many hours were spent listening to music as John had a great appreciation for all kinds of music. Cherished memories of John will remain in our hearts.

A memorial service will be held 6PM Friday, October 28, 2016 at Trinity Worship Center, 1029 George II Hwy SE, Winnabow, NC 28479 with Pastor Ron Capps officiating.
