John Douglas "Doug" Lamb, Jr., age 85, of Jacksonville, NC passed away on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare in Wilmington, NC surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on December 5, 1935 in Lakewood, OH to the late John Douglas Lamb, Sr. and Jean Williams.

Doug was an Air Force Veteran and past president of NC Safety Engineers. He was also a Mason and a Shriner for fifty years at Phalanx Lodge 31 A.F. & A.M. in Charlotte, NC. Doug was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was a bright light to many people and will be missed dearly.

Doug is survived by his wife, Susan (Latt) Lamb; sons, Christopher Douglas Lamb and Robert Douglas Lamb and wife, Pamela; daughters, Kelly Lamb McCaffrey and husband, Allen, and Kathy Lamb McCoy; sisters, Linda Bottiglieri and husband, Al, and Sue Hammanan and husband, Walter; grandchildren, William Douglas Bauer, Sydney Joann Violet Bauer, Madeline McCaffrey, Jaden McCaffrey, Alexander Douglas McCoy, Ashley Elizabeth McCoy, Brenden Walker McCoy, Bowman Robert McCoy, Griffin Elliot Lamb, and Greysen Katherine Lamb; and many other family and friends. Known as "Pa" to his grandchildren and so many friends who knew him to be such an amazing and kind man.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Vietnam Memorial at Lejeune Memorial Gardens, Montford Landing Road, Jacksonville, NC 28540 on Saturday, March 13, 2021, at 11:00 am with Brian Botello officiating.
