John Allen McArtan, age 70, of Rocky Point, NC passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2024.

He was born on February 11, 1954 in Harnett County, NC to the late Ralph McArtan and Mary Alice Gurganious McArtan Lucas.

John was an electrician for Pitt Electrical Company. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with family and friends. Every morning, John went to Johnson's Corner Grill to meet and have breakfast with his buddies. John was a bright light to many people and he will be dearly missed.

John is survived by his wife, Eva Dale Woodcock McArtan; son, Marcus Alexander McArtan; brother, Ronnie Glenn McArtan; niece, Cynthia Smith (Richard); and nephew, Ralph McArtan.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his brothers, Jerry Lendwood McArtan and Daniel Winston McArtan.
