Jonathan "John" Allen Bishop, 35, of Ivanhoe passed from his earthly life Monday, April 18, 2022. He was born in Wayne County, Pennsylvania.

Jon was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, Eugene and Laura Gurganious Bishop.

He is survived by his daughter, Baylee Bishop; mother, Laura Bishop Hatcher and her husband, Keith; his father, Donald Polt; brothers, Zachary Johnson; sister, Emily Hatcher; aunts, Carolyn Guyton (Donnie) and Cheryl Flarida (Craig); uncle, Bruce Bishop (Rae Ann); many cousins and other extended family members.

John never met a stranger, if you needed help he was always willing to lend a hand.  He loved his family especially his daughter Baylee and he was very special to his grandpa.  There was nothing John couldn't do, he learned many skills from his grandfather.  He was a skilled welder, plumber, electrician and wood worker.  His family loved him dearly and he will be forever missed from the many hats he wore - son, brother, father and friend.

A memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 25, 2022 at Shiloh Baptist Church, 19685 US Hwy 421, Willard, NC 28478 with Reverend Gardner Eakins and Reverend Paul Waters officiating.
